Strategic Plan

Our Strategic Plan is a carefully crafted roadmap that guides the district’s actions, priorities, and goals over the next four years. It reflects our commitment to excellence and serves as a blueprint for achieving growth and success in all areas of education and operations.

The creation of this Strategic Plan was a collaborative effort. We are proud to have had 23 individuals volunteer to participate in the Strategic Planning Committee. Through both small and large group discussions, committee members worked diligently to build a shared vision, mission, core values, goals, action steps, and measures of success that focus on the future of our school. Additionally, the committee identified the critical competencies, Tiger Traits, that all graduates should possess upon graduation, ensuring we are preparing our students for success in college, careers, and life.

We cannot thank our committee members enough for their hard work and dedication. Their contributions were invaluable in shaping the future of Holgate Local Schools.

Our Vision defines Holgate Local Schools in its most aligned, effective state, performing at its highest potential. Our Mission is a clear description of the work we do every day to achieve our vision.  Our vision, "Tiger Pride. Always!", embodies the heart of Holgate Local Schools. It reflects our commitment to instilling pride in our students, staff, and community by empowering each other, upholding traditions, and inspiring excellence through a strong work ethic.

Core Values
Our Core Values are simple yet powerful statements that define the culture and character of Holgate Local Schools in the past, present, and future. They emphasize unity, empathy, acceptance, pride, integrity, excellence; shaping how we serve our students and community.

Tiger Traits are intentionally woven into daily lessons, activities, and interactions. By connecting these traits to real-world experiences, students see their relevance beyond the classroom.

Consistency is key to lasting impact. Tiger Traits serve as a common language that unites students, staff, parents, and the community. We encourage our Tigers to embrace and apply these values at school, in the home, and throughout the community strengthening their character and creating a culture of excellence across all areas of life.

These five key goals, along with their specific action steps, drive progress in each focus area, ensuring every initiative aligns with our Vision and Mission. Together, they form the foundation for a unified and purposeful approach to achieving success for our students, staff, and community.

Our Action Steps and Measures of Success outline how we will track progress toward each goal and action step. This detailed plan ensures transparency and accountability by establishing clear metrics and timelines. It provides stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of the work required to achieve our strategic priorities and maintain alignment with our Vision and Mission.


Measures of Success
Our Measures of Success define the benchmarks we use to track progress and celebrate achievements. Each June, we will share a progress report with the community, highlighting accomplishments, addressing any challenges, and outlining the next steps for continuous improvement. This transparent process ensures accountability and keeps our stakeholders informed and engaged.
